Current Status of Making up for lost time – 8/23/23

This status is going to apply for the coming weeks, so please be patient. I haven't gone anywhere, I'm writing in my off time. No updates this month. Please look forward to it.

Of course, there is a deadline still.

Other updates:
- Chapters will be organized differently
- Side story chapters will slightly change to match the reboot
- Original story will be preserved, info on this will be released closer to the deadline

Transparency update:
Basically over the past year I have been trying to get my life sorted out, as well trying to get some semblance of structure back into my workflow. Here's what I've been working on.
- The Making up for lost time reboot, essentially going back and writing it from the ground up into something that I could be happy with. I wasn't happy with the direction it was going, and I got feedback on my writing and decided it was best to stop patching it constantly and changing later chapters to reflect those patches and instead just start from scratch.
- The context of certain characters have changed. Meaning their backstory, introduction in the story, and events relating to them.
- I would be making great progress for a while, but then had to go back to the drawing board when it wasn't working out. A lot of this was due to bad habits in my writing, like tense changing randomly, inconsistency, etc. Some of this was partly thanks to pressure of trying to get at least some kind of new chapter pushed as soon as possible.
- The starting point of the story has changed, so it's part continuation part alternative ending. Making up for lost time started as a passion of "making up for the lackluster ending," but now I want to really question what "time" Hachiman wants to "make up for" and how he and Yukino develop this new life together. I'm focusing more on the coming of age aspect of the story.
- I started taking classes on art, as I want to get better at drawing characters. Some of my off time has been dedicated to this.
