Current Status of Making up for lost time - 5/17/23

Just going to reiterate what I already posted on my profile, with some new additions.

The story will be getting a soft reboot, (why this is taking so long) and the new chapters will be released in parts (a certain time frame) when everything is said and done. The new chapters will more than likely be full-length chapters like chapter 1.

Edit: Sorry, I forgot. The story will be organized in a different way this time around.

Now the important part.

It's taken a long time as I have been improving my skills, dealing with IRL stuff (a big factor), and facing burn out on oregairu (a bigger factor). I've written so many drafts, thrown them away, and repeated this process over and over again for over a year. To keep myself interested in this series at all, I had to reboot my story and rewrite the ending to oregairu so that it wouldn't make me go insane. Honestly, it's no wonder why Watari is having such a bad time with the post volume 14 stories with how he wrote the ending. Picking up where 14 left off was such an uphill battle, having to justify and explain away certain things was getting on my nerves and killing my motivation.

Anyway, don't expect a continuation from where the last chapter left off, it doesn't exist anymore. There are of course parts of the story that will remain the same, but the vast majority of it will be new content. It's possible I might decide to end this story at "volume 4" rather than 5 like I said when I first started posting, but for now I will continue to 5 and conclude with a nice epilogue. A few ideas I had for those later chapters were moved up so I need to come up with new ideas for what happens at the end. And to further explain what I mean when said I will release this in parts, I'm thinking of releasing each section weekly (or a certain amount of days) so that there's a good amount of time to read each one as they're quite hefty. Thank you so much for putting up with my selfishness and I hope you enjoy what I have coming soon. (not that soon)

Also, yes, I have laid the groundwork for keeping the original story intact once the update is posted. Stay tuned for when it gets closer to release.
