Current Status Follow up - 9/16/23

Good morning!

The poll has closed and I want to thank everyone that participated and those that gave feedback! The decision will be to wait until the reboot is finished to post any update on the old story, and I will also post it to FanFiction. You'll know it's ready when I make an announcement. For now, I will continue writing and getting the side stories ready as well.

Here is the current timeline that I have planned:

Release of short 2-4 chapter & final update > Reboot > Side story chapters

Expect the reboot to catch up to where the current story is timeline wise, I'll take a small break and then there should be more regular updates.

I'm changing how the story is formatted so it's less confusing. I was being cheeky with how I was naming the chapters, i.e. "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", etc. These "chapters" were basically near-volumes in length separated by sub-chapters. Each "chapter" has a theme and tackles different obstacles. This is how I was imagining it in my head, but with the reboot I'm going with a different approach. The "chapters" will be volumes and the sub-chapters will be just normal chapters. I hope this clears up any confusion if there was any, I was just being funny with the naming.

If you remember, I initially said that I was planning to go as far as 5 "chapters" in one of my early afterwords. I've been thinking about this, and really, I don't think I have enough ideas as of right now to extend it to 5 volumes worth of story. If I did go that route, volume 5 would come down to a collection of short stories and fluff until an eventual ending and epilogue. (And fluff is what I'm struggling with right now, I just want to write character development) I'm trying to get my ideas together to either hit a volume 5, or somehow get it to where I can fit all of this perfectly in 3 volumes. (Originally I had planned a dramatic story arc here, but have changed it and moved it forward so now there's less "stuff" for that part of the story. I'm trying to come up with a new idea, but I can't really think of anything until I get to the end of volume 3, because it's heavily dependent on certain characters.)

All of these stories will be hosted here on this blog, as well as on FanFiction and Wattpad so that you the reader can read on whichever platform you like. Personally, I use an ad blocker on my PC so any of these work just fine, but I know that these platforms are a bit sketch without it.
